12 hours of Sebring. (2019)

The Miracle Strip Corvette Club was represented at the 67th
running of the 12 Hours of Sebring Endurance Race, (IMSA) 1,000 Miles
of Sebring (WEC) and Corvette Corral. The weather was perfect for the
four days of racing except for the first three hours of the 12 hour
race on Saturday. More than 200 Corvettes filled the Corvette Corral
with guest speakers including, Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing Manager,
Ron Fellows, Spring Mountain, Harlan Charles, Corvette Program Manager,
and representatives from the Corvette Museum, Michelin, and Mobile 1.
One hundred Corvettes took to the track on Thursday for some fun
laps on the 3.74 mile road course. The Corral was tuned into the C7R
radio communications as well as multiple lIve TV feeds of the race.
Snacks and drinks were plenty with lunch served on Saturday during
the 12 hour race. Sebring is famous for being the roughest track in
the IMSA series. The number 3 Corvette ran a great race and was
everywhere in the field from 10th to 1st throughout the race finishing
on the podium in 3rd place in the GTLM class. The number 4 Corvette
had mechanical problems early on and went down 11 laps. Once repaired
ran well gaining back several laps finishing 8th in the GTLM class.
The Sebring race week is a fan favorite with open paddock, fan
grid walk and access to the entire track along with concerts and
manufacturer displays.
