History

Come join us and ‘Save the Wave’!

Miracle Strip Corvette Club was founded in 1967. After more than 45 years of shared Corvette enthusiasm, we are fortunate to have some of the founding members who still participate in our events.  This ensures that the history of the Corvette is passed on to the next generation of Corvette owners and Corvette lovers.  Our Members have Corvettes from every generation, C-1s to C-7s that are driven not just polished.

MSCC offers a variety of events that allows the Corvette enthusiast to enjoy their Corvette to the fullest. Throughout the year, MSCC and its sister Corvette Clubs from New Orleans to Tallahassee offer road rallies, car shows and overnight excursions.

MSCC enjoys a close working relationship with the National Museum of Naval Aviation at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida.  One of the high points is a Corvette Car Show held under the trees near the museum’s entrance.  Pensacola, Florida is known as “The Cradle of Naval Aviation”.  Pensacola has been training fledgling Naval Aviators and aircraft technicians from World War I to the present. For years, every new pilot had to buy a new Corvette as soon as he completed flight school. It was the only way they could get the same thrill with two feet (make that four tires) firmly on the ground.

In the early Fall, MSCC hosts its signature “Vettes At The Beach” car show on Pensacola Beach. The “Vettes At The Beach” Corvette car show has grown from 60 Corvettes in 2003 to over 300 Corvettes in 2013.  The show has grown from a small local show to a Corvette Car Show attracting Corvette enthusiasts from all over the country.  Many come every year to join us for two days of friendship, good food, and beautiful cars.  An added benefit is the sugar white sands of Pensacola Beach and the beautiful emerald green Gulf waters.  In fact, Pensacola Beach was recently selected as one of TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Beaches in the U.S.

Our monthly Meetings are the Second Wednesday of each month January to November. We meet at 6:00 PM at the Tryon Branch Library at 1200 Langley Avenue, Pensacola, Fl.; phone number is 850-471-6980. After a short business and event planning meeting, we adjourn to one of Pensacola’s many great restaurants for dinner and lots of conversation, laughter and of course Corvettes.
